Back in the early days of this blog this issue was brought up. I remember it well because it was frightening and I kept notes about it. Flouride was added to the drinking water in Newburgh in high quantities back in the 1950s because nobody knew how much was good. They just put in as much as they thought they should. Then there was the info on Russia who found out that large amounts of flouride made people "lethargic" so the government kept the population in line by putting large amounts in the drinking water! You can search for this info. Today's adults in Newburgh who lived younger years through our flouridation now have gray or discolored teeth, broken teeth, gum diseases and bone diseases. Some have children who have similar troubles but there's no proof that the damage is inherited or that the flouride levels were still too high. When this topic was brought up here a lot of people accused some posters of being silly or trouble makers until the thread disappeared. It should have been a class action suit. Newburgh should be responsible for dental care for the people who suffer today because of the "trial" and for using Newburgh as guinea pigs. But like Newburghers can be they ridiculed the ones who cared before. So what's your problem now? Eventually the ones who suffer will die off like some already have and all will be forgotten. Or the government will put more flouride in the water to shut up the trouble makers again. What's your point?
