Carol and Paul have reluctantly decided to shut down the Downline website. Sales peaked a couple of years ago and recently it has not been producing enough of a financial return to justify the time and effort we were putting into it.

So, effective from Friday 11th August 2006, we won't be taking on any new Who's Who Entries, Classified Adverts, Sponsor's Banners or Sub-Sites. The Downline website will continue to appear for a further 12 months so that existing adverts will appear online for the full time we promised. The website will finally close down in August 2007. If any existing advertisers need to change or delete their adverts, please email us at editor@downline.co.uk.

Carol is currently going through midwife refresher training so she can return to the work she loves - caring for mothers and babies. Paul will continue to design and build bespoke websites for clients.

We would like to thank the thousands of people who visited Downline over the last six years. And an extra special thank you goes to everyone who supported us by advertising on the site. We wish you all a long and successful future. All the very best.
