Entry Fee: $45.00 plus a minimum of 10 canned food items

*WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING 12 CONTESTANTS PER DIVISION!*


DIVISIONS:
Your division is based on your age as of January 1st, 2011!

Baby Miss (Ages 0-23 months)
Tiny Miss (Ages 2-4 years)
Little Miss (Ages 5-7)
Petite Miss (Ages 8-10)
Junior Miss (Ages 11-13)
Teen Miss (Ages 14-16)
Miss (Ages 17-23)
Ms (ages 24 and up)


Answers to FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Attire: Attire for this pageant is CASUAL WEAR! This can be custom made or off the rack!
Examples may be seen in photos on the website.

Hair and Makeup: Professional hair and makeup are not required. We are not a Glitz Pageant! However, makeup is permissible. Please come completely dressed and ready to go on stage. There will be a bathroom available for minor touch ups but please arrive completely ready in your pageant attire with hair and makeup finished!


Competition Details: We are not a glitz pageant (however makeup is permissible)! We
do not sanction anything FAKE such as flippers, wiglets, etc. Coaches standing behind the judges doing routines as their contestant is onstage is NOT acceptable and points will be deducted for this! Contestants will do a walk of choice to upbeat music. We provide the music. Model like you are in a fashion show! Contestants in the Baby Miss and Tiny Miss Divisions must have an adult on stage with them at all times.

Check In: Please DO NOT arrive early for check in. We have the check in time set so you have plenty of time to check in your food collected and pick up your contestant number and stage card.

DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY.

Please plan to arrive between 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.
Contestants should be dressed and ready to go!

Judging: Contestants will be judged on Overall Appearance, Stage Presence and Personality.


TOTAL SCORE = Overall Appearance + Stage Presence + Personality


ADDITIONAL TITLES:

Viewers Choice: This title is voted on by the audience. Each vote is $1.00 and the contestant with the most votes wins! She will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed sash and entry fee paid to the 2011 North Florida's Miss Heart of America Pageant. In addition, she will receive a special "Girls Just Want to have Fun!" button which will be her invitation to the "Girls Just Want to have Fun! Pajama and Pizza Party at the 2011 North Florida's Miss Heart of America Celebration. Money collected for the Viewer's Choice Title is to be turned into the front desk. Please place it in an envelope with the contestants name, number and division clearly
printed on the front. Remember this is a great way for grandmothers, aunts, uncles, etc. who cannot attend the pageant to still participate. Viewer's Choice is the only title that can be won by a division winner.



VERY SPECIAL TITLES:


At every Miss Heart Of America preliminary pageant we crown two very "Special" Queens.
Our two "Special" titles must be earned.

Queen of Hearts: All of our pageants are "Pageants with a Purpose". We strive to teach our girls the importance of giving back to the community. Contestants are required to bring in a minimum of 10 non perishable food (Canned Food) items. The contestant who brings in the most canned food items will be awarded our most prestige title : "Queen of Hearts". If you are bringing in more than the required 10 canned food items; you must have the food counted prior to turning it in. All food must be in bags/boxes and labeled with the contestants name and division. The contestant who turns in the most food items that are bagged/boxed with the proper labeling,will be crowned
"Queen of Hearts". This pageant will benefit the Hawthorne First Baptist Church Food Bank.

Ambassador: Our "Ambassador" title goes to the contestant who collects the most "Ambassador Points". By sharing information about the Miss Heart of America Pageant Program, our Ambassadors help to promote collection of additional canned food items. Contestants receive points for referring contestants to our programs, placing posters in local businesses and selling "Sponsor Ads" in our program.


A Special Note To All 2010-2011 Preliminary Winners: Points that you earn in Queen of Hearts Category and the Ambassador Category will carry forward to the North Florida State Pageant - your points that you turn in at your preliminary plus all the points you turn in at local preliminaries across North Florida during the 2010-2011 preliminary year plus all the points you turn in at State equal your grand total for State Titles.


PRIZES:

Winners in each division will receive a rhinestone crown, monogrammed Miss Heart of America County/City Queen sash, rhinestone pin and entry fee paid to the
2011 North Florida's Miss Heart of America Pageant.

First and Second Runners-Up in each Divisional Catagory Win a $100 Gift Certificate to be used toward registartion for the
2011 North Florida State Miss Heart of America Pageant.



OPTIONAL PHOTOGENIC COMPETITION
****NEW-PHOTOGENIC SUPREME RECEIVES FREE ENTRY TO
2011 NORTH FLORIDA STATE MISS HEART OF AMERICA PAGEANT!!!!

Photogenic - Photos can be of any size and do not have to be professionally done. This can be a head-shot or full body shot. Photos are scored on personality projection, clarity and overall photogenic qualities. Photos need to be turned into the Registration Desk as soon as you arrive. They must be in an envelope with the Contestant's Name and Division printed clearly on the front and each photo must also be labeled with the Contestant's Name and Division. No photos will be accepted that do not meet these requirements. DO NOT MAIL ANY PHOTOS TO THE DIRECTORS! There will be an additional charge of $10 per photo. All photos must be picked up immediately following the competition at the Registration Desk.

DIVISON PHOTOGENIC WINNERS WILL RECEIVE: A Miss Heart of America Photogenic Medal and a $100 Gift Certificate towards registration for the 2011 North Floria State Competition

THE SUPREME PHOTOGENIC WINS HER ENTRY FEE PAID TO OUR 2011 NORTH FLORIDA STATE COMPETITION -- (INCLUDES ONE OPTIONAL)



Each person entering the Auditorium (except for the contestant) is required to purchase an arm-band. These arm-band are $10. Children under 12 are half price.

Other requirements:
*You must register based on your age as of January 1st, 2011.
