>Dear Kristin Etheridge,

I believe you are right when you say that Luis Inácio da Silva might triumph again and I it is also true that he has gained support of the northeastern states of Brazil. But Iam not so sure about "His generous patronage of and social programs" The Zero Hunger project has proved to be innefective in many instances due to the impossibility to keep a strict control on the beneficiaries.Interest rates in this country are exorbitant and nothing has been done to lower them during Da Silva´s four-year term and apparently that is not part of his future plans if re-elected.It my my expectation that if Da Silva wins again, he manages to, as you yourself said, increase expenditure for wellfare and education and most of all to that he is able to curb the corruption that deviates our tax money into the pockets of unscrupulous "citizens".

Yours, Lincoln Rondas
