UT Maymester Abroad courses are four and a half week study abroad programs that take place immediately following the spring semester at an international course location. Maymester Abroad programs are three or four credit hour courses taught by UT faculty members for in-residence credit. These courses are a part of spring registration, although they begin after the spring exam period and conclude prior to the second summer session.

All Maymester Abroad programs have a required predeparture component on campus during the spring semester to prepare students for the personal, cultural and academic experience abroad. Students should check the individual program brochures for details regarding the spring semester requirements. Please be aware that some courses require enrollment in a CXS 118 International Learning Seminar.
