this isn't a 100% certain thing cos we have a full band lineup at the moment which we're quite happy to play gigs with.
our influences are:
radiohead, pixies, the beatles, the cooper temple clause, nirvana, the beatles, the cure, sonic youth, joy division, the beach boys, deftones, weezer, the manic street preachers etc....
current lineup is:
1 rhythm/lead singer, 1 lead guitar/backing singer,
1 bassist, 1 drummer. we are all around the 19 year old mark.
but ive been thinking for a long time now about getting a new singer, someone to take charge in the singing department since i dont feel my voice is strong enough for our band to be as good as i want it to be.
i want people to say wow when they hear us. i feel we're a decent band, but could be alot better with the right person at the front. if you've seen geisha at the square, you will sort of know what we're about, altho we tend to stick to a rockier setlist at the square. we want to make original forward thinking music, we're not 100% there yet, we have about 15-20 original songs rehearsed, but the songs we're writing at the moment are moving in exciting new directions.
my ideal front man would be jim morrison, if you've got that sort of vocal, or even if you think you can offer something new, send us an e-mail, reply to this thread. i would like to hear from you.
i write the songs at the moment, with the rest of the band contributing to arranging and changing. you can offer as much input as you like. we're very open, if you have guitar playing or keyboard skills that'd be a bonus, but mainly i'm looking for a great voice.
