Um handout é uma espécie de roteiro da apresentação, útil tanto para apresenta quanto para quem assiste a apresentação.

Para quem apresenta, ele garante credibilidade e audiência interativa. Já para quem assiste, concentração e maior compreensão das idéias apresentadas.Um bom handout, não faz com que o ouvinte se prenda à leitura e sim queira prestar atenção na fala do apresentador.

O segredo, então, é a preparação que deve ser feita com antecedência visando não só ao conteúdo mas também à estética do handout. Em outras palavras, ele deve ser atrativo, uma "propaganda" da apresentação.
