Subject: Year after Year Author: Anonymous [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 19:27:17 09/10/09 Thu As many have said in the previous comments, the winners are predicted before the pagaeant even begins. All you have to do is look at the photogenic winners in program book on Friday and know who will win all weekend. From the baby division to the teen division, the same winner seemed to be crowned competition after competiton. I'm not saying contestants that were crowned didnt deserve it, it is just a bit unfair when you walk into the room and see Carol sitting with the families of the constant winners. As far as the young lady who cried on Saturday night, she was probably just as upset as everyone else to see the same girl win once again. There were many beautiful girls out there and each one desrved an equal chance to win, after all it isnt the contestant's fault they do not have a personal relationship with Terry and Carol. Watching the competitions there were many contestants that had much more beauty and modeling talent than those who were crowned due to their connections. I have watched several beautiful girls go year after year and not win so much as a runner-up simply because they are not one of the "favorites." I believe at this pageant no matter how beautiful, well dressed, poised, a contestant may be, if they don't have the connections they will never win. We have been attending this pageant for several years, and things have never seemed to change, it is always the same winners circle year after year it is ridiculous and a waste of money! We won't be back and after talking to many families that see the same thing year after year- they won't be participating in this pageant system again either. If you had any idea what her family is like and how hard her mom worked to be sure that she had all the right outfits and that she was there on stage looking her absolute best then there is no way you would even begin to say the things that you have said. Maryssa we are so very proud of you, we know how hard you worked and how beautiful you looked all weekend long. Debbie we also know the kind of person that you are and how you have always been the kind of person that would do anything that she could to help anyone, which you have proven over and over again. I must say that you are one of the most sincere and honest people that I have met during our pageant years and I know that I am proud to call you my friend. I dont want to support a pageant system that gives you a title just because you have "paid your dues". I want the best girl to win and I think thats what CT does. They do not always make people happy but I think they always pick the best contestant. My daughter has won before and I didnt even know Carol and Terry when she won. I think people are just bitter. Its Ok to be sad but we need to teach our children what its like to lose... Do some research, practice a little harder, and go back next year looking even better!! [ Post a Reply to This Message ]
