The Flemming's lost the right to use the Hawaiian Tropic name and logo over 3 years ago. Now that they have lost the right to the name they also lost the big numbers that came along with that name. Trust me you think you are helping Carol & Terry but you are not. However you might have opened a case for the people who own the right to the name of Hawaiian Tropic. Using a name for false advertising is against the law and is punishable by $100,000 fine or 6 months in in jail or both. ( hope you read this message M.O.) ALL THE KIDS THAT YOU SEE ON THEIR WEB SITE TODAY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FLEMMING'S, HAWAIIAN TROPIC OR CALIFORNIA TROPIC. All these kids got agents because their parents did all the work on getting them a agent. Every kid that you see on a toy box, magazine cover has nothing to do with Hawaiian Tropic, California Tropic or the Flemmings. As for Hollywood Babe.....save your money. The chances of your child being a " elite model" is slim to none. For the last 3 years they have used the same kids over and over again to model for them. Leaving out those who worked hard to get that opportunity. Hollywood Babe does not put out a catalog, to become a hang tag winner you must pay for that chance and you'll be on the website only if you choose to go to any water park photo shoot. With a purchase of a new swimsuit and the purchase of park ticket. All these other sponsors listed below are NOT looking for the next fresh face. Such sponsors like Cool Cuts and Amerikids will book talent through an agency. Buddies bears and toys, offers nothing as sponsor to the kids so they can benefit. They have no use for the CT kids at all. See yourself on their website. http://www.bearsbuddiesntoys.com/index.htm Cool Cuts 4 kids: they claim to have done a photoshoot. All were non paying jobs and photo's have never been published. Also take notice, Cool Cuts 4 kids DOES NOT advertise California Tropic as sponsor on any of their websites. AmerKids: Maybe the only legit gig. But in order to win it. You have to pay for it. Amerikids does not advertise CT in their local and tri-weekly magazine. THEY ARE NOT A NATIONAL MAGAZINE they are a Orange County magazine only. The covers of the older teenage model and a young boy on the skateboard had NOTHING to do with California Tropic, Hawaiian Tropic. Both these talents were booked through their agenices. So folks ask around before you get yourself in too deep. These directors are only looking to fill their pockets. Their pirzes are very weak and trust me your child WILL NOT GET DICOVERED THROUGH THESE PEOPLE. If these people are so legit, then why do they get judges from unknown backgrounds. At tri-state you had the MC's wife as a judge, a past beauty queen as a judge, and some good friends that came from Terry and Carol's assisant Heather. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sounds real professional to me. People believe that this system is fixed and Carol picks her winners.
