Emily, along with several pageant friends and her brothers Cub Scout Den helped prepare a hot meal, clean clothing and a warm place to sleep for the homeless. The Room At the Inn Program provides shelter and basic needs from November until March every year. Go to the National Message Board and join in. There is a banner game going on to "Guess Who" the baby picture. The second banner is up now. The first one was put up a couple of weeks ago and then followed with the banner with pictures of who it is.
You can also join in by sending me baby pictures and then pictures of the titles that you/your daughter has held.

The updated information below was received today from Kennedie's family. You can visit Kennedie's message board at www.carepages.com - password - kennedieneedsurprayers.
OK, THE BIG DAY IS HERE!!! Surgery has been scheduled, to remove the tumor. If everyone is not aware it has shrunk a great deal, now giving the doctors a chance to go in and remove the cancer.
Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday October 17th. It'll take place at Tulane and I'll probably be there for a while, so if everyone can send a couple of EXTRA prayers out for me, I'd appreciate it!!!
If anyone has questions or concerns about me and my progress, please feel free to call or contact Aunt Shell via email.

Folks, Sorry for the inconvenience but I had to enable the Captcha Feature for posting on the Louisiana Message Board. This feature of our message boards keeps computer programs from posting "ugly explicit" material on the boards. I know that it is a little bit inconvenient for you but it is much safer than having bad posts on our boards.
Yesterday, I removed three ugly posts and today I had to remove five from the Arkansas Message Board. Several months ago, I had to enable it on our National Message Board for the same reason.
Thank you for your understanding and now..... Happy CLEAN posting and reading about our girls! I Love You All

It's Four States time again September 14-15 in Texarkana!! We will have our annual swim party at the Holiday Inn (indoor pool) on Friday, ride in the Four States Parade on Saturday morning, and out to lunch as a group following the parade. Kennedie's Test Results -- Ms Carolyn, 11:52:58 07/13/07 Fri [1]
The following was posted by Kennedie's family.
"We got the bone marrow results in yesterday, and it's not what we wanted to hear. The doctors said that it is in her bone marrow. They're gonna try to treat it using her own blood marrow stem cells. (not really sure how that works) They're continuing chemo treatments on the tumor to shrink it down and will begin to treat the bone marrow cancer as well.
Kennedie's road to recovery just got a little harder, so we need to pray harder!!!!
Please keep up the prayers, miracles can happen!!!"

I would like to ask all of our IM family to please pray for 23 month old Kennedie Boudreaux, Louisiana Baby Miss Princess. They flew her to Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans because they discovered that she had a very fast growing Wilm's Tumor on her kidney. Kennedie is having surgery tomorrow to remove the tumor and a kidney to hopefully get all of the cancer cells. If they don't remove it quickly, the cancer cells will begin to get in her blood stream. She will be taking chemo for the next six months.
We all know that prayers work miracles. So please send up your prayers for Kennedie and her family.

We have just returned from the International Miss State pageant in Monroe. We have such an awesome group of girls. All of you are beautiful and talented. We are going to have a great IM year in Louisiana. Congratulations to everyone on your new Louisiana IM titles.
Thank you to all of the wonderful people who came to help us and to the National Queens, Bryton, Sagan, and Stacey. Thank you Ms LeVron and Mr. Charles, Thank you Ms Norma, Ms Dianna, David, Paula Golleher, Nancy Shipe, Tonya and Tyler Tackett. You were all so much help and support. I love you all. Thanks also to Ms. Fairy LaBrie and Amber LaBrie and a special thanks to Brittney James, 2005 Louisiana Petite Miss for coming and helping out. Brittney, your vocal entertainment was great!
We have such an awesome group of beautiful and talented girls to represent Louisiana this year at the National Finals in Nashville and the entire upcoming year.

Thanks Ms Norma, Ms Dianna, Kristen Davis (2006 Nat'l Young Miss), Bryton Bonacquisti (2006 Nat'l Petite Miss), Lynette, LeVron, Laryssa, Haylee Tackett (2006 Nat'l Little Miss Beauty Princess),Tonya, Makayla Shipe (2006 Nat'l Talent Winner), Sandy and Justin. You were all great and your help was incredible. I could not have done it without all of you. I appreciate everyone's help even though some of you had to drive a long way. This shows what a wonderful family we all have with our IM friends.
Everyone loved the guest performances by all of our Nat'l Queens. They were all great and on top of their "game". Thanks again for being there and for "stepping up" and supporting Louisiana. I love you all.

Brittany was voted to serve on the homecoming court for their high school in Westlake. Brittany was very excited to serve as one of the homecoming maids. Brittany was escoted by her father Bradley Guidry.
Brittany was also chosen to participate in the local festival pageant for the high school sophomores. This is a big honor throughout the area high schools. The festival is the annual Cal Cam fair.

I forgot to let everyone know that my brother (Dustin) will be leaving our family and moving on to start a life of his own. Dustin joined the U.S. Navy and will be leaving for boot camp on the 23rd of October. All I ask is that everyone keeps my brother in their prayers. Dustin is going to Charleston, S.C. after he graduates from boot camp which is going to be in Chicago, ILL.

All International Miss titleholders are invited to the Louisiana Prelims to either perform or to be introduced. RSVP so that we can include you in our program book. The first Louisiana Prelim is the combined Four State Prelim (Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma) in Texarkana on October 28th. The next Louisiana Prelim will be in Westlake on November 4th.
