Subject: Dear Colleagues:

My name is Anthony Iannini. I am a local executive director in Delaware and put on the Miss Central Delaware, Miss Kent County and Miss Mid-State Pageants every year. I have been a Miss America volunteer for the last 6 years. This is the very first time I have ever posted anything on this website, but I thought it would be a unique way to reach as many of you as I could at one time. As most of you know by now, the Miss America Organization (MAO) has enacted a new policy wherein our local titleholders must now raise $250 for the Children's Miracle Network (CMN) or they will not be eligible to compete in their respective state pageants, despite the fact that this change has occurred in the middle (and for some practically at the end of) the pageant year. The firm at which I am employed (Saul Ewing LLP) has agreed to represent my franchises against MAO to try to get the $250 requirement waived for this year. Saul Ewing is taking on the representation pro bono, meaning that no fees are being charged. If necessary, I plan to take MAO to court over this issue. If other franchisees are interested in joining in the lawsuit with me, Saul Ewing has agreed to take on those representations as well. If you are interested in joining in possible legal action to protect your contestants, please contact me for more information at aiannini@saul.com as soon as possible. In an effort to expedite things for those states who have state pageants coming up in the next month or two, we will be moving relatively quickly. Local franchise holders and local contestants only, please. Thank you very much for your time.

Respectfully,
Anthony J. Iannini, Executive Director

The Miss Central Delaware Scholarship Organization
The Miss Kent County Scholarship Organization
The Miss Mid-State Scholarship Organization
