Date Posted: 12:06:29 03/28/07 Wed Haystack Rock Awareness Program (HRAP)Seeks Volunteers. The Haystack Rock Awareness Program (HRAP) is looking for volunteers to train as interpreters and stewards of Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach. Volunteers point out sea life clinging to the rock, birds flying and nesting above the rock, and talk about stewardship of this beautiful marine garden. Beach programs operate on the beach from late February to late October nearly every day of the week at low tides. The opportunities to see rare sea life are wonderful. You do not need to be an expert in Marine Biology to volunteer at the Rock. On the beach training will start immediately with opportunities to extend your knowledge at various seminars offered throughout the year. To volunteer: call Elaine Keling, Volunteer Coordinator at 717-8788 or e-mail: ekeling2002@yahoo.com [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
