Floyd Holcom, owner of Pier 39-Astoria, announces the 3rd Annual CRPA/Bumble Bee Cannery Workers Reunion, Saturday, August 11, from 3pm – 6pm. He cordially invites the public and all former CRPA/Bumble Bee Cannery workers, their families and friends. There will be delicious food, souvenirs, raffles and live music by the String of Pearls Band, playing hits from the big-band era.

Bring your photos and memorabilia to share—this is a great time for former cannery employees to reminisce about old times and re-establish connections. The Hanthorn Cannery Foundation is developing a Memorial Park and Interpretive Center dedicated to the cannery workers and their vital contribution to Astoria. The public is welcome to join in the family fun!

To become a sponsor or to contribute a prize for the raffle, please contact the Pier 39 office at (503) 325-2502 or stop in and visit us at the foot of 39th St. All proceeds from this event go toward the Hanthorn Cannery Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) organization, whose mission is to preserve the history and personal experiences of former cannery and cold storage workers.

So stop by and join us on Regatta weekend, Saturday, August 11th from 3 to 6 pm at Pier 39 for history, music and fun for the entire family. We invite you to visit our website at: www.canneryworker.org.
