He notices Rae's movement and see's the small black pup. He chews up some of the deer and walks over to the little homeless one... then regurgitates it so the pup will be able to eat once it awakens.

(Disgusting though it may seem wolves do this to feed their pups. And if you already know this I'm sorry to be preaching to the choir. Hehehe.)

He nudges the young pup gently, worry in his deep green eyes... "Come on little moon pup wake up!"
