I have news for you, laws on lions and tigers are up to your county not state or national. And you'd be very surprized at how you are allowed to care for them.I know of a tiger who lives in a field in a simple electric fence.I know of a man who bought a lion cub and was keeping it in his garage. And you're worried about a dog. The differece in the danger of a tiger and a dog is,a tiger stalks anything. Will eat anything at anytime. They have great jaw pressure because they wiegh 800 lbs.Dogs don't.Dogs don't stalk, and they don't see humans as prey.If and when they bite there is always a reason.Lions and tigers are just hungry.I know in my county all you have to do to own a tiger or lion is notify the pound you have one and take out a large insurance policy. That's it.And there are no regulations on how to contain one.If I were you I'd be more concerned about that. And give pitts a break. The only reason you hear so much about them biting is because they're flashier in the news.I know of a lab that mauled a child to death,it was never in the news.Because it wasn't a pitt. Those dogs were not bred to be violent, they were not bred to attack humans. They were bred to be aggressive towards other dogs and bulls.Hence the name pitt bull. They were put in a pit with a bull and did not tear it apart they were taught to clamp on the throat or nose and suffocate the animal. If you look the only incidents are mainly in America with the americanized version. The true pitt,Staffordshire terrier lives happily all over the world without a hate club.Any accidents don't focus on the dog you really need to look at the owner.
