What is Valentines Day without Connor OBrien?
Cleveland, January 13Northeast Ohios resident pop star, Connor OBrien, will be performing for the second straight year at the Odeon in Cleveland on Valentines Day, Saturday, February 14 at 8:00 p.m. for a show featuring headliner Jordan Knight, former front man for NKOTB. Tickets are $15 general admission and are available now at all Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster.com and the Odeon box office. OBrien, who opened for Sixpence None the Richer last year for the same event, will be performing a special acoustic set this time around.
Since releasing his sophomore record, Soliloquy, in November 2002, Connor OBrien has appeared on the cover of Scene Magazine and played a few tour dates with the likes of Huey Lewis, the Bacon Brothers, and Mariah Carey. Though OBriens music has evolved over the years, he honed his performance skills by touring the country after attending the prestigious Eastman School of Music in New York. The training armed OBrien with a voice that can move mountains and a powerful stage presence, and gave him the makings of a pop/rock star that has already developed a gritty maturity.
OBriens performances have included the Hollywood Knights Celebrity Basketball Tournament in Los Angeles, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Along with his backing band, OBrien has drawn comparisons to Howie Day, Sugar Ray and John Mayer. For more information, please visit www.connorobrien.com.
Since the late '80s, Jordan Knight's sweet falsetto has been heard on such hits as "You Got It (The Right Stuff)," "I'll Be Loving You (Forever)" and "This One's For The Children." In 1999, his single "Give It To You" became a top-ten smash and MTV favorite, setting the stage for his eponymous solo debut album later that year. Another hit followed with the Prince cover "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man." His second solo album is scheduled for release this summer.
