AIR ANNOUNCE DETAILS OF SPRING TOUR!
Air return to North America after nearly 3 years on April 2 in Austin, TX
with stop at Coachella Festival

Air's "Alpha Beta Gaga" will be featured on a new Heineken commercial
debuting on The Grammy Awards this Sunday and running all year. The bold
spot is one of the first to tackle the issue of music piracy, so be on the
lookout.

Talkie Walkie debuted in the Billboard Top 100 this week at #61, #2 in the
Billboard Electronic chart as well as #2 in the UK and #1 in the Billboard
European Charts!

Ever since the launch of their now seminal classic album Moon Safari in
1998, Air have traveled in a long arching orbit above the musical universe,
occasionally stopping off on a neighboring planet to observe the earth from
a critical distance. Recorded in Paris and completed in Los Angeles in June
with Radiohead and Beck collaborator Nigel Godrich at the controls for the
final mixdown, Talkie Walkie (out now) shows a band very much on a forward
path, smashing expectations while still delivering on their every promise.
Still evident are the stirring string arrangements (this time courtesy of
former Serge Gainsbourg arranger Michel Colombier), the otherworldly
keyboard and percussion flourishes and Nicolas Godin's inventive fretwork.
The one big distinction here is the absence of guest vocalists. For the
first time the band has performed all the vocals themselves, with JB Dunckel
handling the majority of the singing, a task he proved himself ably capable
of on the band's 2001 world tour, where they played over 100 shows. "We
need to tour to burn the songs and then on the ashes you can build something
else" says Godin.

The line-up for the tour is as follows: JB Dunckel on keyboards and vocals,
Nicolas Godin on keyboards, guitar, and vocals, Dave Palmer on keyboards,
and Earl Harvin on bass and drums. This will be the first time Dave and Earl
join Air on the road. The two Texan musicians have been playing jazz and
classical music together for fifteen years. Reflecting the mood of the new
album, this tour promises to be Air's most intimate to date, with a brand
new lighting set and Nicolas and JB positioned up close and personal. Fans
can expect to hear songs from the entire Air catalog with vocals performed
exclusively by the band. Please contact Alison Tarnofsky for more
