Free Beer and Rugby -- ER, 10:16:33 01/09/02 Wed Now that I have your attention! Dear Gwladers my family is organising a charity 7s tournament in aid of Cystic Fibrosis, which my nephew Dylan suffers from. Many people have been enthusiastic and so we made enquiries about an event. We have secured an excellent venue in Chiswick that is ideally suited to the tournament which will be held on 14th April 02. 2 pitches are available and the backbone of the day will be a tournament for up to 24 teams. Blistered onto this feast of champagne rugby will be fund raising events designed to make you part with hard earned cash and yes there will be beer! I read a lot about Gwlad 7s does anyone want to raise a team for this event? The cost per team is £150.00 so a squad of 10 should only mean a £15 each. We are also looking for an IT wizard to design a website that will be used to promote the event and have purchased the website address cf7s.co.uk for this use. Anyone who would like to help design the site or can offer advice please e-mail rugby@cf7s.co.uk There will be an over 35s tag tourney so if you feel that that is where you should be then that. Is fine. If on the other hand you feel you can mix it with the younger teams then fill your boots. It will be a great day out for a great cause and will definitely have a Welsh slant, as pretty much all my family is Welsh (certainly the rugby players are anyway). Anyone interested?
