Subject: Christmas gift idea for kids (a little piece of Sanibel)

I have two young cousins (girls) that live on the coast of Texas, and love to pick up shells on the beach, but of course they get mostly broken bits, clams and scallops. So I am going to send them a little piece of Sanibel for Christmas!

I am going to fill a box with sand, bury Sanibel shells in it, and let them dig for treasure! I think I will also bury a little gift box with a sterling shell charm for each of them. I'm also going to send them the book "Florida's Fabulous Seashells", so that they can identify their shells. I will include a letter about Sanibel, of course, so they know where this piece of beach comes from, and where to beg Mom and Dad to take them on vacation. LOL!
