We have enjoyed bike rides quite a lot. Trail-a-bikes allow the adult to pedal, while the child rides and pedals as much as they are able (but mostly coasting on the adult's efforts). Corkscrew Swamp, on the mainland is an interesting place, although it involves a 2.25 mile boardwalk. Ding Darling is drive-able, for a less strenuous birding trip. And of course, the island is lined with beaches from tip to tip.
