We have done this a couple of times. It is a nightmare especially after a hurricane when there are no road signs.. that wasnt a good experience. You might be best going to Mapquest.com but the car hire places will be able to give you a map to the I75 Good luck, we have always got lost in the past but you will have daylight on your side, just dont get too stressed out and enjoy seeing the sights of Miami not many get to see. We always find it easier to fly through Orlando and the drive is much the same timewise. Enjoy your holiday and we will be in Captiva in 4 weeks time so I'm looking forward to having some sunshine at long last.
