If there is going to be impact due to new fuel-related fees on the airlines (i.e., those new baggage fees that have been in the news), I would not expect it to start to show until the fall. The new fees have only just been announced within the last month, and many people coming for the summer may have felt that it is too close to their vacation to cancel now. But I could see people looking ahead to the fall and thinking twice - especially if their booking is far enough away that they can get a full refund (something else that may be dissuading summer visitors from cancelling).
