Subject: SOOOOOOOO Disappointed AGAIN!

Well we have tried AGAIN to vacation on Sanibel and Captiva in March this year.
It has been nothing but a disappointment when trying to find something affordable.
Home rentals have gone through the roof on Captiva.
Condos for a week by the lighthouse on Sanibel for over 1500!

The only affordable places I have seen are rentals by owner actually listed on Craigslist. These people seem to know the economy is down. They still have a need to make money to pay their mortgages and expenses. So they are renting for below "season" rates- but they are also BOOKED.

I guess my day trips to the island are all I will get.
Its just too bad.

These island where our paradis. Still are....
BUT come on 6000 dollars for a home for the week on Captiva?
