I've never been to Sanibel in Oct., once in Aug. and the rest of the time November. Love November, beginning of Nov. could be 80-85, lower humidity, but near the middle of the month, it will have fronts come in and we have been there Thanksgiving and the high was only in the 50s but the temp does recover. October, especially in the beginning of the month could be 80-90. Some restaurants do close during Oct, not all at the same time. Have only had it rain once in November and that was the first of the month (tropical storm) great shells! Water temp will be good in October & Nov. But I do love the first 2 wks of Nov. Will be there Oct. 31st for 5 weeks.
