Sorry, Bill. I think it's sad people feel that way as well but I also believe those people are in the minority. After all, if it were otherwise, owners/agents would be dragging people in off the streets to get rentals. As it is, though, even the rental that was mentioned on that other board, at ~$6000 per week (off-season), is booked up the wazoo. Regardless, what I found that a bit amusing was the same individual who was claiming $6k per week was a lot of money for off-season, also wrote that the house could 'easily accommodate four couples'. So, wouldn't that be $1500 per couple per week? Where do I sign up? Oh wait, it's booked that week! LOL

Anyway, I am also a property owner on the island and haven't raised my rates in years. As a result, I find it somewhat offensive when others broad brush owners as greedy when the vast majority of us are merely offering our properties for rent in order to recoup our expenses, both fixed and variable (such as upgrades and repairs).
