Subject: SHELLS ... which is the best beach to find them on?

I was at Sanibel about 4 years ago in early Oct. There must have been an over night storm (?). In the morning my friend and I went to the beach and there were mini conch shells the size of my FIST washed up. (all empty). I took home a carry one bag full! I cannot remember which beach it was, of if it was just near a jetty. I am planning on going back in the next week or two.

WHICH is the best to find nice big shells? Best time of day?
