Subject: Red Algae

Good news! The red alage problem seems to have resolved itself on the island. Minimal releases from Lake Okachobee over the past few months have greatly decreased the algae on the beach & in the water. The city of Sanibel will also put into effect a plan, starting in October, to expediate removal should the algae once again find itself on the shore.
Hurrah, hurrah, our beaches are more beautiful than ever!
