Subject: Shelling guide translation...please!

I found a shelling guide for Sanibel Island, but I am confused by some of the areas that they specify to liik for certain shells. Can someone please translate for me?
1) Shallow waters with sand bottoms
2) shallows on sand
3) sand bottoms
4) sandy shallows

To me, they all sound like they would be the same areas, but I am not sure.

Also, there are some that are found in grassy bays, bay mudflats, bay shoals and in mangroves. Where will I find these areas?

Thanks for any and all help with this! I just want to make the most of our trip, and I am a sucker for shells!
