Subject: And the Authors Are . . .

Wow. This has easily been our most successful ficathon yet, and I give my deepest thanks to our wonderful authors and to all of the fantastic, supportive fans who've done so much to make the continuation of the ficathon project a reality.

Writing is difficult, time-consuming work. Writing to somebody else's prompt, even more so. And writing on a deadline can be the most challenging work of all. I have great respect for all of the authors who accepted and met this year's challenge with such grace and talent.

Also, without readers, a writer's words would exist in a vacuum. Your time, consideration, and thoughtful feedback is a major part of what keeps our authors motivated and involved. Thank you for giving of your time and attention to support the ficathon writers.
