 Prominent display of a recently used hairbrush reminds me of a mom reporting that merely draping a belt over a doorknob serves as an excellent deterrent to common childhood foolishness. Although this mom spanks, she has never had to use the belt on her daughter. She says that just its conspicuous presence has a calming effect.
