Subject: Introductions

Hi everyone, My name is Ginger and got home a little over a week ago from SS. This program totally saved my life and I am grateful. I'm not saying that I don't have to do any work to remain sober, however, I now have tools to help me in that process. I really knew this program worked when I was flying home. The guy sitting next to me was having a glass of wine and it smelled so bad I really wanted to roll down the window (a little difficult in a plane!). I have pretty much drank all my life - the last three years were pretty serious drinking (every day at least a good buzz if not flat out drunk). I am so glad that is over. I have recognized habits that need to be broken though such as driving by the store and thinking there is somewhere else I have to stop - I always stopped at the liquor store every day. Now I think "you don't drink" when I think I have to stop "somewhere else." Hopefully this makes sense! Habits will be changed, I'm keeping busy enjoying my family and being sober. I wake up every morning and just say "Wow"! As weird as it may sound I'm looking forward to my first recap! Take care and Nanette - thanks so much for creating this site!!
