Subject: reply to thinking about going to schick

I went to Schick in Oct. and it was the best decision ever. I like you held a job and lived with just my young son and I. People knew I drank to much but not to the extent I really did.I didn't know the protocol in advance and went because of the short amount of time and the high success rate. The duffy's aren't pleasant by any means but they are worth every second when you leave and have no cravings and have a positive attitude about being sober. The staff across the board treats you with respect and teaches you the tools you need to understand your addiction and the tools to remain sober once you leave.I was a bartender for 20 years and drinking was my way of life, I didn't think I could enjoy a life without it, but I was very wrong. I have gone back and done my first recap and go to meetings there when I can, but I haven't had any cravings, any problems sleeping and my life is so much more organized. It is a great feeling to wake up every day and not be hungover and the best is that you remember everything from the night before! I put my e mail on the reply,if you want to talk more at length email and we can talk. I am off on Mondays so I will be available. If you are thinking about it so seriously you already know that you need it.Good luck to you and please feel free to get ahold of me, Iknow how scarey it seems but not as scarey as the life of a drunk.
