Kain has rented a house, just outside of town. Its an unused farm from what I can tell, and while it offers no real protection, it does offer a good view of the land around, and there are no close neighbors. The house itself is roomy, and each will have their privacy. I take on the role of midwife and maid (an idea that seems to amuse Kain to no end), and hopefully we will have the time we need.
We have a map now, of Magas, and Kain believes he can get the missives there, so all that remains is that act, before we can begin waiting for help to arrive.
Unfortunately, the eyes were upon me in town, and although I sought the man in the red robes, I was waylaid by an alley rat, who now lies dead. I was lucky not to have been seen, for it was a busy street, but I am sure that the man has been found by now. I left town under cover of night, and will remain here, under the guise of the midwife.
Kain acted very odd the day after his juvenile drunk, and took the girl out to the market. They returned, the both of them looking like young lovers. It was enough to make anyone gag, for I doubt it was all an act. Kain seems to be attracted to the young princess, and I hope for his sake, its purely physical. I am not as worried about this however, for Kain has received some disturbing news of his family in Rhy'Din. His Aunt is apparently marrying into the family of his enemies. His armor is back on and black as pitch, and his mood is once again that of the warrior. He refuses to give up on this current mission however, and has vowed to stay until the job is done. I have offered to return to Rhy'Din with him, and it would be a relief to be back upon my own shores..but I wonder if I will be fit to travel then, or more of a burden than aid. Already I am getting fat, and either starving or puking. I have felt the life inside me though..it stirs and reminds me of its presence..and I know the next year will be a long one.
I wait now, for Kain and the princess, and tomorrow that will bring the delivery of our messages to the Princesses intended. If luck remains on our side, Grisholm will soon get a large surprise.
