Subject: redskins coaching staff shows true colors

I'm going to let Joe Gibbs and Al Saunders in on a little secret: JASON CAMPBELL IS A GUNSLINGER!!!!

I find it hard to believe that it was Jason's decision to play most of the first three quarters extremely conservative. He looks for the big throws the big plays. That's his game. He was throwing little dump off after dump off and small eight yard hook after eight yard hook, and using the quick 3 step drop too much. Smart money says that this was the coaching staff’s decision. Why? We're 2-0 with the play calling and offensive approach we have been using: turning Jason loose, giving him the freedom to throw the big throws, and complementing those plays with a successful rushing attack. In short, the coaching staff did anything but use even a slightly aggressive offensive approach.

While, as the quarterback, some of the blame does fall on the inexperienced kid, who did blow some easy throws, Joe Gibbs and company basically put him in a straight (is that spelled right?) jacket. It wasn't until we were down by 7 with 2:05 to go that they finally said: 'alright kid we're gonna turn you loose, throw down the field and do what you do.' And sure enough, he marched us right down the field. With ease!

So here we are on the 3 yard line with three downs to score. Why didn't we run the ball on our first play from the 3 yard line? Let me reiterate just in case Joe Gibbs is reading: We are on the 3 yard line 2nd and goal. Hand the ball off. If we don't get positive yards (which is unlikely) no big loss; we got two more tries. (I am also still confused as to why a game-looking Portis was on the sideline, but hey what do I know? I'm not the one getting paid 2 million dollars to be thus far mediocre coach).

The past few seasons I have been skeptical as to whether Joe and his over the hill crew knows what they're doing. But now I am starting to see the signs. Joe may need to go. We are going to win by encouraging a young kid, with a cannon for an arm, to go out there and let it rip. Everything else: the running game, the blocking up front on the line, will come together if we nurture this approach; it's our only hope.

On a positive note: hats off to Gregg Williams and his squad. They were on that field forever, and 3 turnovers ain't too bad.

Campbell is a gunslinger with a stubborn coach that does not seem to understand that compared to his 3 championship, grind it out golden age, this league has become the wild wild west.
