Subject: Prepositions!
In reply to: Erick 's message, "Verzpertillio 101" on Thu December 04, 2008 23:15:58

What would we do without prepositions?! We simply wouldn't know what's 'up' from 'down' that's what! Hehehe! (That was sooo cheesy!)

Prepositions in Verzpertillio are an ancient bunch. . . many of these words do not seem to have any 'clear' connection to Latin or in fact any other European language. So this suggests that these words are much more ancient, and seem to have a darker history about them. And yet at the same time there are words here that seem to 'whisper' an ancient connection to Latin, making some words just barely recognizable. . . just a reflection of the languages Vampires once spoke before giving into the Darkness and Verzpertillio, during ancient times.

The rules for using these words are very simple. It has little to do with grammar (though it is still important in some aspects) but has more to do with 'logic'. You have to logically place the prepositions in the right places on a sentence.

A simple example are the prepositions "from" and "to". Depending on where you place the preposition in the sentences in relation to other words, they can mean totally different things!

"From Justin to Taryn"
means something completely different from:
"To Justin from Taryn"
And this happens simply by changing the place of the prepositions.

So really, that's all you really need to know about how to use prepositions in Verzpertillio! Unlike the more complicated rules of the language, prepositions stick more to 'logical placement' rathar than grammar.
