IMHO, If you install Tunebite, never uninstall it.
It makes some really stupid changes, mostly to your sound card settings, and then if you uninstall you must make changes back manually b/c it does not. Sound will more than likely not work anymore until you make these changes. I've seen this on 3 separate machines now.
I also had the pleasure of it making my machine unbootable after uninstall (blue screen w/ fatal system error) & had to do a repair install of the OS. It's still not 100% but I'm upgrading HDD this weekend & fresh OS install. :-)
This is a VERY poorly written piece of software & from my experiences with it I would stay away... far far away.
