Subject: 2 questions inside...

My first question is regarding temporary internet files(for IE)and(firefox, which I havn't been able to locate all together). My TIF's don't last anytime nowadays. If I go back to a page that I had loaded literally 10 minutes ago, all of the images, thumbs and full-sized, have to reload from scratch. As where if I let a page completely load, leave that page and immediately go back as soon as the next page starts to load, all of the images reapear intact as TIF's. I am used to my images loaded from previous pages, being stored and ready on demand, to last a week on the average. I have been on the internet for approximately 13 years, probably longer, and I have literally NEVER had this happen until about a month ago+-. WHAT GIVES?!?!
My second question is regarding a javascript popup. If I access a particular site which has images on it that come up in thumbnail format, the full-size images load in a separate javascript popup window after clicking on the thumb. This is fine and all "except" for the fact that the site had different sets of images, and if I choose to load images from different sets simultaneously, the site only pops up one window to view full-size images in, which mixes up all the different images from the defferent sets together in one window, one after the other. Obviously in this case, if I click on one image from one set and then immediately click on an image from another set, the second image stops the first one from loading and only the second one loads since it was the last one clicked on. My intent is to load multiple images from one set in one window and do the same from other sets in individual windows, per set, at the same time to view later after all images have loaded. My question is, is it possible to change some default setting within my PC, I suppose, to allow multiple popup windows to open in this particular situation? If so, how? One other thing that may have crossed your mind, I only have to click on one thumbnail to view all of the images in a given set because within the popup window, there are different "previous" and "next" icons to move to the rest of the images in the set.
I am so sorry to have been SO long winded, but I know of no other way to describe my problem specifically without going into detail. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated more than I can say! If there are any questions I can answer to help, feel free to ask. Thank you.
