ok wasnt sure bout the sp2/3 thing. the system restore had stopped working pryor, so that was kinda hoping id be able to restore by installing sp2, the main thing is it wont even let me into windows at all to do anything, not even in safe mode, or last good config. would u know of anywhere i could dl a copy like the one u referred to?, thanks
