Subject: ATA password protected hdd ===>

How do I bypass the hdd password protection? Bought a laptop at a flea market, but the hdd has a password set. I can't get it to boot. I can get into bios, but this is not a bios password. It's actually stored in the drive.

It's a Dell Latitude D600 with a Fugitsu drive if that helps. Reformatting or low level format won't work since all access to the drive is locked out. Doesn't even show in the bios without the password being entered.

Any help on this is appreciated.
