It embeds itself in IE so even after a repair install of xp it comes back. The box i fixed had 6 trojans as a result of xp antivirus 2008 and each caused different damage.

Save yourself the time and trouble.... wipe the drive and do a clean install of xp and use FF in future ;)

ps.. if you find an xp antivirus 2008 'fix' prog on the net don't try it, it's a trojan as well lol......
