Subject: MS Office problem

long shot here. i run vista (yes its a piece of crap but as my computer is deceased I have to use the wife's who wont dump vista for xp):(((. I have installed ms office all versions just in case one worked. I tried the latest ver of office, as I assumed that as it was new it would work with vista. However all the vers I install work, but the problem is that when I want to launch them the installation sequence starts to try and re install office instead of opening the prog. After this sequence finishes the prog I double clicked on then opens, and works fine. I know it's off topic but I just wondered if anyone knows of a fix?
