If you look at these posts there are talking about your problem and one guy comes up with a fix.
The main problem seems to be people running old versions of XP without having SP2 installed and this usually means that they have an old pirate copy of XP installed on their system.
If you have broadband there are enough copies of XP SP2 on the net to download and install.
