What a great night of racing Friday July 25th. A big Thanks goes out to Tracy Fenton and Fleetwoods General Stores Inc. & VP Racing Fuel for sponsoring the Frank Bonner Memorial, Dr. Charles Neal Ultimed Plus and Uncle Joe's All Purpose Sauce for sponsoring the televison and internet coverage of the race. We saw several close races with wheel to wheel action three wide at times. Congratulations to Jerret Cathy 600 Wing Winner and Trenton Beckinger 600 Non Wing winner. Unfortunately the Saturday night portion of the Southern Illinois Super Weekend at Southern Illinois Raceway was rained out and will be run on Saturday August the 2nd. Friday Nights race will be televised on Charter Cable Televison Sunday Night at 8pm on channel 10 or can be viewed on line at www.areasports.net in the Archived Replay section. After several calls and request we will be running Friday night as two seperate shows. Before intermission we will run all regular classes except for non wing. After Intermission we will run Non Wing Heats, and Dashes. Before the Non Wing A Main we will run a dwarf car make up feature from 06-06-08 to give the non wing cars a little bit of time to get ready for the A main. Lets all hope that we can finally get the event ran. Once again we plan to have non wing driver introductions and have the drivers sign a Wayne Co. Even though we got rained out as we were starting the features we saw some very close racing through out the night. The Club has taken track prep over and after working the track for several hours Thursday evening and Friday afternoon, we saw two and three wide racing on a multi grooved tacky track. Thank you to those that attended. The night started off with only enough cars to field a 6 car wing race. With this in mind the club came up with a 15 lap dash for cash paying $50.00, Congrats to Chris Turner. The night started with problems for Kyle Neal fighting injection problems and Tracy Fenton with clutch problems. Then Louie Baker had carb problems and at the end of the night Tracy Fenton and Jimmy Kemp both lost clutches and Louie Bakers carb problems continued.
We will be having a club meeting Monday June 2nd. We will be discussing several issues including car counts and planning several upcoming money races. Hope all members can attend and as always guest are welcome. Jimmy

Do you think this track needs a promoter.you can draw cars without all the to win money.with trust and a way with people.most all of us racers will come if we have a promoter we can count on to get us some good shows.(well advertised)races with good fan base.not everyone can get this type of show together on a weekly basis,except for those people that have that drawing card personality. and promoters do not always cost money,several do it for the love of the sport.good luck

We would like to thank all drivers and fans for attending last night. We had some good wheel to wheel action through out the night, after being rained out at the start of the year. A extended thanks go out to Joe Leek and his wife for traveling several hours from Warsaw, In. to join us. We look forward to next Fridays Event.

Man, I got my car back together and busted my tail to get it lettered and haven't even got to show it off yet. Is it ever going to stop raining.
Don't forget that the weekend of May 23rd thru May 25th Sweet Springs is hosting The Race4Life event. We plan on attending and anyone interested for 3 days of fun and charity needs to visit www.therace4life.com Jimmy just wanted to post this in case anyone needs fuel for that weekend I will not be at W.C. We have planned this for awhile and looking forward to getting away.

Due to all the rain we have had this week and more to come we are rained out for Friday May 16th. The parking lot and pit area have water standing in them and hopefully the weather will break and we can start racing Friday May 23rd for the first weekly race of the year. We will keep everyone posted.

where is tom keeping himself.i was told he has been down at marion running cars.i do need to get a hold of him because he told us he was going to run at wayne county this season and i would like to confirm that with him! misplaced his phone number and need it! any help would be appreciated!!looking forward to running this track on fridays and marion on saturdays!!2 nights of action so close together sweet deal with fuel being what it is!!

I was wondering if you were thinking of re-scheduling the $1000 to win race for May 23. Coles County has a $1000 to win race the 24th and it would be nice to pull extra cars that might make the tow to run both events.
