Subject: Derek, I have no idea who asked the question about cheating. To my knowledge no one has ever been asked to pop a hood. As for the weight issue I do know that many have had to add additional weights to their car to make the weight limit. Now, with that said if you knew for a fact there would not be any scales that night you have the choice not to add your extra 100 or 200 pounds to the car. Is that an advantage? I guess it could be in a close race but, I would not bet on it. The rules state a certain weight therefore, the track should provide the proper scales so all can adhere by. I personally would like to think that all others run as we do, straight up, honest guys that can only feel good about a fair and honest win.

In reply to: Derek 's message, "So who do you think is cheating in this class? I think everyone has been running the same times all year long. So that would mean they had to be cheating when the scales worked and they were looking under the hoods." on 19:08:11 11/26/07 Mon
