Hunter Lee Powell was born on 07/10/08 at just 26 weeks. He weighed 1lb 9oz and was 12in long. He is in the NICU at Baton Rouge General on Blue Bonnet in Baton Rouge. The valve in his heart that's supposed to close did not close at birth and has not responded to the medications. They may have to do surgery. I will know more about that in a couple days. He is looking at the next 3 months in the hospital as long as there are no set backs. He is now on 21% oxygen. There were no brain bleeds so far,therefore increasing his chances of recovering healthy!
