Well, hello there everyone! I guess I am the only one guilty of not writing on this board recently. Even though it is not used frequently, it is nice to see family members dropping in on occasion to fill us in. Sorry, it has been so long!

Okay, first, congrats to the youngest grand brat..I mean child for finding someone who will keep her in line....hee hee! You know i love you - you are my only child! If everyone will remember the day at grampy's funeral when a very unusual gentleman asked if I was Michelle's mom - well, Michelle and I have been assuming our roles since then - I will just keep in mind that I had Michelle when I was just a child myself! Michelle, I will not be able to attend your wedding, however I am so thrilled for you as your alias mom, and I ordered you to have the best day of your life! Love and Hugs, Tina (aka mom)

Ricky and Candace, I owe you both a huge appology for not returning your last call. We were in the middle of our move and time gets away from you, and then you feel too embarassed to call when months have passed...so please forgive me.........love you. You, as everyone in the family, are welcome to come visit any time you like. There is plenty of room and more the merrier, that way I get help cleaning this house! hee hee Big hugs!

Angie, so happy to hear that you and Paul are great and Kayla is busy with sports. I miss her. I feel sad that I am not enjoying the experience of seeing her grow into the beautiful young lady I know she will be. You have a special little woman on your hands, you are blessed. Hugs to you all!

Donna and John, I hope married life is all that you hoped. Sounds like you have undertaken many renovations at the house. Isn't change fun! Hugs to you both

Little John, I haven't seen a note from you lately, but I bet you are out there some where. I bet golf is a big part of your spare time these days. Scott has 3 golf balls displaying his best rounds of 76. There is a team at his office that plays each Monday after work which allows him to hobnob and enjoy his favorite sport. He was just promoted the past few months to Management, so it works out well. I hope you and your family are having a blast this summer! Hugs all around!

If I left any one out, it is not intentional. I am just responding based on those family members that actually write on this board. So if you want a special note, you better get writing!

To sum up my life - I just started vacation today. I sent out 4 resumes, as it is time for a change from the Hospital. Scott, as I mentioned in the note to LJ, was just promoted to Management. He took over his boss' job and now has around 15 employees under his direction. It was a nice increase in pay, so that helps with future savings. We officially moved in to our new home Jan 16, as that was shen we sold our previous home. It worked out pretty well, as we only had 1 month of double payments. Whew! Our colors in the family room and kitchen (which open up to each other) are pumpkin, aqua, green. Very relaxing palette. I am trying to carry the colors throughout the house in various shades, so it will flow nicely. My landscaping is pretty much done. The contractor provided landscaping in the front yard and I did the remaining sides and back. We had planned on putting in a patio this summer, but have decided to hold off til next year. We have plans to go south in Oct/Nov to celebrate out 13th anniversary. We didn't go away last year since we were in the middle of selling/building. Hopefully, if I start a new job, I will be able to request that time off as part of my employment agreement.

I have had visits from Mom, Diane & Bruce and they were awesome. We had such a nice time. This week Scott's brother and nephew are arriving for 5 days to attend the lollapolooza concert downtown at Grant Park - I probably didn't spell that right, but you get the point! It is 125 bands from all over that compete and put on quite a show, I hear. So we are looking forward to their visit. Any one else wanting to come down, just let me know. Our new phone and address are as follows:

Tina & Scott Garbe
25324 W. Balmoral Drive
Shorewood, IL 60404
(815) 741-7417

I hope to hear from you all soon! Miss and love you all.
Tina
