Subject: Paediatric Experience

I was being admitted to hospital at age 13 and was akewd to get undressed and get into bed. The nurse had drawn the curtains to screen me from the other children and vistors in the ward.
I removed my clothes in preparation to putting on my pajamas which were laid out on the bed.

The nurse returned and threw back the curtains exposing me naked to the other children and their visitors. She closed the curtains again but I felt very embarrassed.

Later I came to realise that exposure in the childrens ward was not uncommon usually because the nurses were so busy that they would give enemas or injections without always making sure the curtains were closed properly.
