[ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 08:26:12 04/17/07 Tue 1st Annual Miss Spring Queen of the South April 28th, 2007 at Darton College in Albany at 3:00 p.m. Proceeds from this pageant will go to the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta at Scottish Rites (check-in starts at 2:00) Age divisions: (based on the day of the pageant) Baby 0-23 months Junior 11-12 years Teeny 2-4 years Teen 13-16 years Tiny 5-6 years Young Miss 17-19 years Petite 7-8 years Miss 20+ years (single) Little 9-10 years Ms 30+ (married or single) Titles: There will be one Grand Supreme and one Mini Supreme Queen for 0-10 year and one Grand Supreme and one Mini Supreme Queen for 11+. There will be ten Division Queens, a People’s Choice Queen and a Miss Congeniality. That means we’re crowning 16 queens! Scoring: All contestants will be scored on a scale of 1-20 on beauty, poise, personality, gown and overall appearance. Optionals will be scored during a group line-up. Prizes: Supreme and Division Queens will receive a beautiful spring crown, trophy, custom embroidered sash, sash pin, and gift bag. Runner-ups will receive a nice trophy and gift. All Baby-Tiny contestants will receive a participation tiara. All optional winners will receive a trophy. Spring wear winners will receive a satin sash. Supreme Queens: To be eligible for this title, you must enter the Supreme package. Miss Congeniality: There is no fee for this. All girls will get one vote for their favorite contestant backstage (and no, you can’t vote for yourself). The person you vote for, as stated in the Miss USA pageant, should be the one who you think is most friendly and makes the pageant experience the most enjoyable. People’s Choice: There is no entry fee for this category. There will be one people’s choice winner. Votes are $1 each. Start collecting votes now. Optionals: The four optionals include prettiest hair, prettiest eyes, prettiest dress, and prettiest smile. Spring Wear: Anything goes! Break out those gorgeous spring colors! Can be off the rack or custom-made. They are judging your overall appearance and personality on stage. Music will be upbeat, so have fun with it! Rehearsal: We will not have a rehearsal. We will have the basic “T”-walk. You can come early to practice and get a feel for the stage if you would like. Admission: Door admission will be $5.00. Children 4 and under are admitted free. visiting queens will be admitted free. Please sign the sheet at check-in so you can be recognized during the pageant! If you want to receive a copy of your scores, please send a self addressed stamped envelope with your application or make sure you include your email. Absolutely no scores will be given out the day of the pageant while at the venue or on the phone later. If requested, you will receive your scores within 48 hours from the end of the pageant. CMM Pageants and Miss Spring Queen of the South pageant will not be held responsible for any damages, injuries, accidents or theft which may occur during, before, or after the pageant. All judges’ decisions are final and will not be contested. Any contestant or parent acting in a disorderly fashion will be disqualified from the pageant without a refund. There will be a $45 fee for all returned checks. No refund will be given unless the pageant is cancelled. By signing this application, you acknowledge acceptance of these terms.
