Júlio César em seu texto “Imagem de uma literatura contemporânea” tece um comentário crítico de forma analítica à literatura brasileira que tem sofrido influências externas. Do ponto de vista da “criação” os autores contemporâneos não estão produzindo nada além da imitação maquiada da literatura que se satisfaz apenas com os “flashes”, ou seja, é mais cinema do que literatura. Está destituída de uma descrição rotuladora e totalizante do mundo, contentando-se apenas em viver o momento. Segundo ele mesmo,é o caos em busca de ordenamento.
