I see the fear in her eyes
For she knows her time has come
To part from this earth
Ending a journey that�s barely begun

I stay by her side
To comfort her through the night
She knows the end is drawing close
In her face, I see her fright

I feel her getting weaker
As the time passes by
Her strength slowly leaves her
And her body begins to die

Her last breath is drawing close
And I hold her so close and near
I feel her sigh, for her pain is now leaving
And she loses all her fear

I stay by her side
Her time has finally come
Her eyes slowly close
And I know she's ultimately gone

I stay by her side
I cannot let her go
I know she's now in heaven's arms
Oh god, I love her so

I go about my life
Knowing we'll never really part
I see her in every sunset
She's always with me in my heart

She stays by my side
I have not let her go
I feel her presence near me
Oh god, I miss her so
